The amazing wreck diving site In August 1984, the Kormoran, built in 1963 in the Rostock shipyard (Germany), was coming from Aqaba with a cargo of phosphate when, due to a navigation error, she ran onto the reef off the island of Tiran (Laguna Reef).

The impact was violent and the ship lost almost its entire bow, two large cracks opened on its left side and the superstructure was damaged beyond repair.

Now divers in Sharm el-Sheikh can have the new and interesting experience of seeing the relatively unknown wreck. best dived when sea conditions are good, stunning views of the attractive colors of the coral formations on the surrounding seabed.
